Installation Instructions

Sending Unit Installation Procedures with Filter

Illustration 1

A) Remove filter.

B) Remove clips from rubber pipe and remove rubber pipe

C) Remove wire from pump and remove pump.

WARNING
MAKE SURE NO VAPOR REMAINS IN THE SENDING UNIT BEFORE BEGINNING THE MODIFICATIONS

A) Cut 5/16" from beginning of pipe support.

B) Cut 1/2" from beginning of pipe support.

C) From the first cut, cut a 1" section of tubing.

D) Cut wires above clips.

A) Insert the pump tube into the copper tube.

B) Join he sending unit with tube B (curved portion on top of sending unit)

C) Reconnect wires.

D) Length should be 11" from bottom of tubing support to bottom of pump support

Before soldering, align right arrow of sending unit parallel with the float (as shown)

A) Reinstall pump and ensure clips are on both ends of rubber pipe.

B) Reconnect wires.

C) Change filter.

 When the floater is up, its center should be 4" from the base of the pump

 Sending unit should appear as illustrated.

NOTE: It is important to check if the float works properly in the tank before installation

B) From the first cut, cut a 1" section of tubing

Before soldering, align arrows of sending unit parallel with the float (as shown)

A) Reconnect wires using clips supplied

B) Change filter

NOTE: It is important to check if the float works properly in the tank before installation

Use installation kit with extended sleeves and bolts (included with tank). Straps and pumps are not included.
